Position Description:
The Senior Product Engineer will support Air- and Water-Cooled Chiller products.
You will work within the Engineering Department to develop and document Chiller designs within the scope of products manufactured.
You will help develop new technologies and transfer of existing technology to support the both the North American Chiller market.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop new Chiller products and supporting documentation based on project scope, market needs and regulatory requirements.
Create documentation for the modification of designs and Bills of Material to support new products, transfer of products, manufacturing process improvements and cost savings activity on existing products.
Design electromechanic
al products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer and materials.
Perform computational fluid dynamic and finite element modeling and structural simulation for the products.
Interpret results and recommend design changes/directions to meet product performance requirements.
Support customer applications with heat transfer, energy and chiller system designs.
Review approval and manufacturing drawing packages.
Support other engineers and designers with product development projects related to design and documentation.
May lead a team of 3-5 team members consisting of engineers, drafters and contractors.
Required Qualifications:
Eight or more years of experience in engineering is required.
Experience with heat transfer systems and thermodynamics is required.
Experience with refrigeration, refrigerants, and air flow is required.
Prior leadership experience is preferred
Program or project management skills
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Travel:
Travel for this position is measured at about 20%, with travel to supplier and customer locations as well as Modine facilities throughout the US being a majority of the travel.
Estimated Base Salary Range - $92,000.
00 - $138,000.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location.
The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
