Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Wiley University is seeking qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry, Requires a terminal degree in the appropriate discipline.
Must have a minimum of one year of undergraduate teaching experience or other comparable teaching/training experience.
Must have experience in the use of cutting-edge information and technology in advanced learning.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Fulfill the university mission of providing a quality education for all students attending Wiley University.
Teach a minimum of fifteen semester hours each semester.
Prepare course materials and perform other activities which are related to and meet the requirements of the course each semester.
Conduct evaluations of student performance and assign grades based on such evaluations.
Keep records of student attendance and grades according to university policy.
Develop and revise course contents including OER, instructional materials and teaching assignments or scheduling.
Provide students with academic and career advisement and assistance in transferability as appropriate.
Attend departmental trips or other career-building activities for students as needed by the department.
Serve on departmental, divisional, and university committees as needed to assist in policy development and other matters to benefit the University.
Participate in professional organizations to maintain professional skills.
Maintain appropriate office hours.
Participate personally and encourage student participation in university programs.
May perform additional functions including, but not limited to, registration, advisement, and research.
Maintain chemical laboratories.
Participate in assessment activities for program effectiveness.
Qualify students for internships and/or graduate studies.
Effectively teach both face-to-face and online classes.
May perform, with the Dean’s approval, outside recruiting of faculty, staff, and students.
May perform related activities assigned by the Dean.
