Wiley University is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The primary goal of this position is to provide leadership for the development, implementation, and assessment of the instructional programs, curriculum design and implementation, faculty recruitment and development, and accreditation compliance.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
Provides direct administrative oversight of the operations of the School of Education and Sciences, the School of Business and Social Sciences, graduate programs, online and workforce development programs, all honors college activities, and accreditation.
Works with the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Strategic Retention to advance the strategic priorities of the University and the division.
Supports the shared governance process in the development, modification, and implementation of University policies and practices in support of the University’s mission and strategic goals.
Provides leadership, oversight, and coordination of various divisional, cross-divisional, and system-wide initiatives
Works in close partnership with the Deans, Directors, Coordinators, and other unit leads.
Ensures effective communication between the Vice President for Academic Affairs’ office and all other University divisions, the President’s Office, and the external community.
Serves as executive-in-charge of the division in the absence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Strategic Retention.
Provides signatory approval for financial, academic human resources, and other duties delegated by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Qualifications
An earned doctorate, personal academic accomplishments appropriate for appointment as a senior faculty professor, and a record of effective administrative work that demonstrates a capacity to work and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and students.
