COMMUNITY MANAGER
Immediate Opening for a skilled property management professional!
The Community Manager is responsible for the overall management of an apartment community, including leasing, resident relations, maintenance, and financial performance.
They must effectively manage and coordinate persons, activities, and other available resources to maximize the occupancy levels, community values, and successful operation of the property.
The Community Manager is expected to take a hands-on approach to any necessary duties to accomplish objectives, and to facilitate the successful performance of others.
Duties, Skills and Responsibilities
Initiate and manage all core business processes including leasing, client relations, marketing, maintenance, budgeting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, vendor relations, selection and recruitment and team development.
Strive to increase revenues and decrease expenses.
Supervise and assist team members complete all duties and responsibilities appropriately, safely and on schedule.
Problem Solving - Identify existing and potential problems and develop and implement solutions for the successful accomplishment of property objectives.
Leadership - Empower others to perform and provide necessary support, set and measure challenging standards of performance and facilitate the movement toward a common vision.
Coaching - Focus on actively training and coaching team members for high performance in current roles and proactively develop them for successful performance and promotion.
Communication - Communicate effectively in one-on-one and group settings.
Written and verbal communication should reflect appropriate vocabulary, grammar and word usage.
Consistently and effectively communicate with the Regional Supervisor and relevant teams regarding property performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License
Minimum of 5 years of experience in property management or a related field
Excellent leadership, communication, and inter-personal skills
Knowledge of fair housing laws and other applicable regulations
Knowledge of financial and budgeting principles
Experience in supervising staff
