Job Summary:
The Mortgage Adverse Action Coordinator will be an integral part of our quality control team, focusing on the accurate and timely completion and reporting of adverse actions in accordance with the Real Estate Lending Compliance.
This role requires strong attention to detail and an interest in regulatory compliance and will be responsible for reviewing all mortgage adverse actions in order to contribute to our organization's commitment to compliance excellence.
Primary objective of this position is to be the trusted advisor to internal customers, inspiring confidence and building lasting relationships by consistently exhibiting each of the trusted advisor skills in order to help our customers identify and achieve their financial goals.
Essential Job Functions:
Adverse Action Processing: Support the adverse action process by assisting in the accurate and timely completion and reporting of adverse actions, under the guidance of experienced team members.
Documentation Assistance: Aid in the review of loan documentation and correspondence to verify completeness and accuracy in adverse action reporting.
Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with mortgage lending teams & compliance officers to address adverse action-related inquiries and contribute to resolution efforts.
Other Job Functions:
Data Entry and Analysis: Assist in data entry tasks related to HMDA reporting and contribute to basic data analysis
Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about changes in Real Estate Lending Compliance regulations and support communication of updates to relevant stakeholders.
Special Project Assistance: Provide support on special projects related to HMDA compliance and adverse action processes, as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualification Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
1-2 years experience in real estate loan processing or quality control required
Understanding of loan policies, real estate compliance regulations, and necessary loan documentation
Good communication skills, written and oral
Consistent and accurate with attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation and without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of self or others
General Physical Demands and Workplace Conditions:
Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull or otherwise move objects within the immediate work station.
Must be able to walk, sit or stand frequently, up to 50% of the time.
Must be able to tolerate encounters with coworkers and customers under the following conditions:
Atmospheric pollutants or allergens, including but not limited to fumes, odors, dusts, poor ventilation;
Changes in indoor/outdoor temperatures encountered in travel between buildings and branches.
Other physical attributes required to successfully perform the essential functions above include finger agility, talking, and listening.
