Ability to perform any electrical and mechanical repairs on all Extruders, Thermoformers and service all ancillary systems as required for production requirements.
Must be familiar with all facets and procedures of plant operations and will be expected to diagnose and repair faulty production and related plant equipment with the minimum of supervision using the provided schematics, drawings, and equivalent documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain a full complement of tools to enable him/her to perform his/her normal duties
Formal training (apprenticeship in the field of electrician) and supply documentation
Able to break down and set up for all Thermoforming product on machinery to the standards set for cycle and quality and be able to clean and prepare all tooling for set up.
Capable of diagnosing and repairing plant equipment entirely on his own, without supervision
Excellent understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics
Familiar with all facets and procedures of plant operations
Strong industrial electrical and mechanical background with formal training which include theory and reading of schematics
Maintain the necessary hand tools needed to perform job duties in a productive manner
Capable of keeping accurate records of work performed
Perform work in a safe manner to personnel and equipment
Able to use a fire extinguisher
Get assistance to resolve any issues to get machine back in operation
Well rounded knowledge of quality of all products
Housekeeping, must keep all areas free of debris
Well rounded knowledge of all safety procedures
Wear all required PPE per the Maintenance staff
Must adhere to and be in compliance with all SQF/GMP standards
Leads and trains new hires

Operating a forklift or other material handling equipment is considered a "Safety Sensitive" function.

Report all near misses, accidents, injuries, including Muscular Skeletal symptoms or disorders.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employees will be working in a Manufacturing and/or Warehouse environment in all types of weather.
Conditions may range from and include : hot, cold, humid, loud, working near airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and forklift traffic.
Employee will work in a manufacturing and/or warehouse environment in all types of weather.
While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works with manufacturing equipment.
An employee performing the duties of this job is required to use proper safety procedures to eliminate any potential hazards.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent certification or experience on the job, manufacturing experience; or any equivalent combination of acceptable training, education, and experience would be good.
Need to have good math, reading, and writing skills.
