*Job Summary:* As a Shipping and Receiving Associate with a strong industrial background, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and supply chain operations.
In addition to managing incoming and outgoing shipments.
Your expertise in operating forklifts and sky-tracks will be essential in efficiently handling materials within our facility.
*Responsibilities:*
* Safely operate forklifts and sky tracks to move, load, and unload materials within the warehouse and production areas.
* Receive, verify, and inspect incoming shipments to ensure they meet specified quality and quantity standards.
* Organize and maintain inventory levels, conduct periodic stock counts, and reconcile discrepancies.
* Work closely with the maintenance team to address any equipment issues promptly and minimize downtime.
* Utilize computer systems and software to track inventory levels, update shipment records, and generate reports as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting safety protocols and adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
* Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices, safety guidelines, and advancements in the industry.
*Qualifications:*
* High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional certifications in forklift and sky track operation will be advantageous.
* Proven experience as a Shipping and Receiving Associate or a related role in an industrial setting, with a strong background in equipment maintenance.
* Proficient in operating forklifts and sky tracks, with a demonstrated track record of safety and efficiency.
* Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures.
* Basic maintenance skills and familiarity with industrial equipment and machinery.
* Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, product codes, and labels accurately.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records.
* Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to interact effectively with coworkers and external partners.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring timely resolutions to logistical challenges.
* Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety regulations.
