*Job Details:* Support business unit objective of innovation and differentiated products to support penetration of the end user market to influence both the specifications and buying decisions of the owner.
All phases of new product development and product lifecycle management.
New Product Design and Development, Product Quality Control, Improvements and Design Enhancements, Product and Process Documentation Development and Application Engineering, as well as New Technology Implementation.
*Preferred Requirements:* · Corrosion Experience · Customer Interface · Familiarity with MRPII · Knowledge of Composite Materials · 3 years+ Product development and design · 3 years+ Manufacturing Principles, Practices and Processes · Electrical, Lighting Industry Experience *Required Education/ Experience/ Skills:* · Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred) · Quality Control / Statistics · ISO Knowledge / Experience · Proficient Verbal and Written English Communication Skills *Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* · Resolve questions from key customer decision makers, contract engineers, specifies, and contractors · Develop the detail planning and execution of tactical goals to strengthen spec position in the marketplace and strengthen/improve Domestic and International markets and market shares · Provide application technical support, meet with product end users to develop sales, and learn of product needs and improvements, provide technical input for product catalogs, installation guidelines etc · Engineering Change order function · Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to develop accurate cost control and cost reduction measures, assist in establishing long and short range plans to resolve technical problems that affect day-to-day operations · Involved in the preparation of specifications, layouts, drawings, cost estimates etc.
affecting plant equipment and capital projects · Interface with Sales, Marketing and Production to produce the best-recognized available product in our industry, prepare engineering drawings for submittal to end user and reviews for completeness, complete product design and routine test programs · Research plan and prepare proposals relative to the development of new or improved products or testing capabilities or other strategic initiatives.
· Assist Sales / Marketing in activities such as sales promotions, training, market research, planning and executing special projects, preparing Sales forecasting for budgeting and S & OP Planning · Assist in Lunch & Learn seminars with existing and potential customers, process presentation skills/sales support at the user level · Stay aware of market activities, potential competitors, develops relationships with market specification entities and trade organizations · Actively support all new product development activities · Engineering documentation alignment with new product development, product lifecycle management aligned with phase gate and ECN procedures · Understanding of codes and standards that affect design, installation and use of Robroy products.
· Support business unit activities in industry organizations.
· Generate White Papers for products · Ensure adherence to manufacturing and quality standards, including training Supervisors, leads and line people in improving quality control methods · All department processes and procedures documented and the appropriate individual(s) trained and cross-trained as necessary *Level of Supervision* Highly Autonomous.
Works Primarily with Engineers, Plant Manager, Operations Staff, Managers, Outside Consultants and Quality Control Personnel.
*Supervisory Responsibility* · None *Training and Development* · You are expected to participate in training and development activities throughout your employment with the company to ensure the excellence of the performance of your assignment.
*Travel Requirements* · 50% Job Type: Full-time Pay: $97,957.
