Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, repair, and improvement activities on various production processing lines and equipment.
They will also develop and improve manufacturing processes by assuring that production equipment is maintained and meets the requirements of product production as well as evaluation of the manufacturing process.
A key aspect of the job includes ongoing identification of technical problems and the development of sound, carefully thought-out solutions.
Problem solving is focused on proven systems and technologies and established organizational relationships.
Solutions should minimize the risk to the organization and utilize existing resources.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with any other duties as assigned: Prioritize work orders and executing emergency repairs with Production Management based on equipment need with minimizing downtime.
Troubleshooting malfunctions and determining solutions Developing and completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Complete maintenance and preventive logs per FDA guidelines using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Independently assist with or directly provide technical support in new equipment installation, process testing and utility areas.
Evaluate new equipment and techniques.
Analyze and plan workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Conferring with management, supervisors, and operators.
Recommending equipment modifications and purchases.
Training and guiding operators and supervisors in proper equipment operation.
Any other duties as assigned.

Ability to use computer-based programs like Microsoft Excel and Word Proficiency in documenting Maintenance related activities in a CMMS Troubleshooting skills based on systematically identifying and solving production equipment related problems Determine the completion timeline and monitor progress to keep the project on track and on schedule.
Assist with regulatory and internal audit, common inspections and qualification activities.
Ability to train production personnel in the safe operation of processing equipment.
Create and distribute reports to update the company on the team’s progress.
Ability to manage multiple priorities which includes matching Maintenance staff to equipment to ensure product quality standards and production schedules are met Ability to effectively communicate, in verbal and written form, with individuals at all levels of the organization Knowledge of GMP, GFSI, SQF and Food quality processes and procedures Ability to read, interpret, apply, and communicate technical information.
Knowledge of equipment and production processes Ability to communicate in English (Bilingualism a plus).

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
Previous experience in food production preferred.
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Facilities Management preferred.
Or a combination of education and experience.

The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move 10 to 25 pounds and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Open to working overtime and weekends as needed to support maintenance activities.
