*Test/Controls Engineer*
As a Test/Controls Engineer, you'll play a key role in achieving business goals by developing and maintaining robust testing and assembly processes.
*Responsibilities:*
* Design, develop, and validate production test equipment and programs.
* Provide guidelines for manufacturing and test equipment design and selection.
* Support, service, and troubleshoot test equipment and electrical systems.
* Develop equipment specifications ensuring compliance with electrical safe work practices and OSHA requirements.
* Conduct root cause and failure analysis, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Guide the capital equipment selection process and evaluate Capital Appropriation Requests (CAR's).
* Leverage advanced technology and innovation for testing/controls improvement.
* Lead projects, develop project goals, budgets, and work breakdown structures.
* Align cross-functional resources to ensure project goals are met.
* Develop and execute communication plans among project teams and stakeholders.
*Required Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
* Minimum 3 years of manufacturing support experience.
* Experience with PLC, HMI programming, and safety systems design.
* Proficiency in various computer programming software (e.
g.
, visual basic/studio, SQL, Microsoft applications).
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Experience with Rockwell Software (RS and Factory Talk), RSLogix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME, FactoryTalk SE, VB6.
*Skills:*
* NI LabVIEW and NI TestStand.
* Project Management experience.
* Interpretation of regulations and standards, implementing Electrical Safe Work practices (NFPA 70E).
*Skills and Certifications:*
* Electrical engineering.
* Manufacturing experience.
* PLC and HMI programming.
*Additional Details:*
* Seniority Level: Mid-Senior (2+ to 5 years experience).
